ACADEMY OFFERINGS

In many indigenous ways the circle of directions not only represents the technology and teachings of the east, south, west and north but stages of a persons growth and learning cycles. Traditionally each direction is held by guardian of wisdom including different animals, rocks, elements and more.

Because this academy is taught from a woven tradition it draws upon the imagery and relationships of four main wisdom guardians : bee, cacao, jaguar, and hummingbird. Representing the East, south, west and north.

A medicine path of the rainbow warrior for those wanting to learn the technologies of slow medicine, jaguar tree diagnostics and ancient indigenous healing symbols. This path is first one of deep healing from the wounds and shadows of colonization which has contributed to disconnection, patriarchy, overconsumption, genocide, global warming and the separation of humanity from nature. Once the student slowly starts to remember their own unique path of radical self love and connection to all the ancestors and their role of stewardship to earth mother then they can step into leading slow medicine workshops, teaching circles and or healing. applying indigenous technologies to their own modalities and communities.

MAYAN ASTROLOGY

Mayan Calendars

The Mayans followed several calendars that fit together like cogs in a machine of time. The three calendars are known as The Long Count, the Tzolkin and the Haab.

The Long Count was connected to various astrological events and spanned over 5,000 years.
The Tzolkin is a 260 day year, the length of a pregnancy, and it is divided into 13 cycles of 20 days each.
The Haab calendar is a solar calendar of 365 days, made up of 19 months of 20 days and one 5 day month.

Mayan Astrology

The Mayan astrology is associated with the Tzolkin calendar, and each day is ruled by both a number or galactic tone and a day sign. You can use the date converter to find out what day sign and galactic tone you were born under, or find the sign of any significant day in your past or upcoming in your future.
